VISION PICKLEBALL
CODE of CONDUCT
At Vision Pickleball, we want every player, coach, and visitor to feel welcome, safe, and respected.
This code of conduct sets out the standards we expect at our venue and events so we can build a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
1. Be respectful
Treat players, coaches, and visitors with courtesy.
2. Inclusive language only
We don’t allow sexist, racist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory comments or “jokes” at our venue/events.
3. Hands (and paddles) to yourself
Please respect personal space. No unwanted physical contact of any kind — including body taps with
a paddle or ball. If it’s not clearly invited, don’t do it.
4. Everyone belongs
Personal attacks aren’t okay. We’re here to play, improve, and enjoy ourselves.
5. Disagreements: pause and reset
If something gets tense, take a breath and keep it calm. No shouting matches, aggressive behaviour,
or escalating arguments. If needed, involve staff/organisers.
6. Good sportsmanship
Play fairly and be a good sport, win or lose. No cheating, deliberate distractions, or behaviour aimed
at upsetting others.
7. Report injuries
If you (or anyone else) gets injured, please tell a staff member or coach as soon as possible so we can
complete an incident report.
8. Line call etiquette
Please don’t make line calls from the sideline. Let the players in the match make their own calls.
9. Respect our equipment
Please treat our nets and equipment with care. Nets aren’t to be climbed on, jumped into, or hit.' Please also be aware of fence location and avoid reckless behaviour that could result in injury.
If the code isn’t followed
Depending on the situation, this may lead to a quiet word, a formal warning, removal from a session/event,
suspension, or a ban. Serious incidents may be escalated.
Thanks for helping us build a great culture at Vision / Queanbeyan Pickleball events.
